Miller Electric has manufactured some great mig welders over the years. You can buy a used welder at a significant savings, yet still get an excellent welding machine. Some of these models have been discontinued, and some of them are still currently being produced. The Deltaweld, Axcess, and Invision, Shopmate, and Passport lines are models that are still being manufactured.



One thing to keep in mind when buying a used welder is that parts and service are typically still readily available through their large network of licensed repair shops and dealers. You won’t be buying something that will become obsolete in a year or two.



The Passport or Passport Plus is an entry level mig welder that’s great for home use, autobody work, or light fabrication duties. Depending on the power supply (230 volts or 115 volts), the Passport Plus can provide either 150 amps or 110 amps of rated welding output.



The Shopmate 300 is a Mig welding power source that can be used with your own mig welding guns and equipment. It’s a basic unit that’s capable of providing 300 amps output from a single phase power. The Shopmate 300 DX is a power supply that’s capable of providing both constant voltage (mig) and constant current (stick, tig) output. Like the Shopmate 300, it’s also a 300 amp machine that runs on single phase power.



The following welders are all 3 phase powered welders, and are normally used in heavy fabrication, mining, industrial maintenance and repair, shipbuilding, piping, and any other application where a large output at a high duty cycle is required.



The first of the 3 phase welders is the CP 302. This is an entry level industrial power source that’s designed to be used with an auxilliary wire feeder. It can only be used with 3 phase power and can provide 300 amps of welding output @ 100% duty cycle.



Next up is the Delta-Fab welder. This is also strictly 3 phase, and has a rated output of 375 amps @ 100% duty cycle. It comes with a Miller 24 A model wire feeder. It’s available in two other options with wire feeders; the stationary and MIGRunner options.



The Deltaweld comes in 3 models; the 302, the 452, 652. These are all power supplies that can provide 300, 450, and 650 amps of welding output all @ 100% duty cycle. These welders are available in 3 options, the base power supply, or the stationary package, and the MIGRunner package which include a wire feeder.



The Invision is a Pulsed Mig power supply available in 350 and 450 amp output versions. Like the others, it’s available in 3 options; the base model without a wire feeder, and the stationary and MIGRunner options with wire feeders.



Finally, the top of the line Axcess Power supply is available in 3 different models; the 300, the 450, and the 675. The Axcess is a power supply that’s designed for semi-automatic pulsed mig welding processes. These are available in three options; the base power supply, the stationary option with wire feeder, and the MIGRunner option with wire feeder.
