Miller

Not the oldest, but certainly one of the most dominant names in welding today, Miller Electric has been around since 1929. They started out in Wisconsin selling what could be best described as a homemade AC arc welder. This welder was designed to be affordable and to utilize the electricity that was available in the rural areas of Wisconsin. Then In the mid 30′s they developed the world’s first high-frequency AC welder. Their first DC welder was introduced in 1956. Using selenium rectifiers that they manufactured in-house, they introduced the Gold Star SR. Since then, they’ve been an industry leader in the welding machine business. They now have a wide range of products that fill most every need within the welding field. You’ll see Miller welders of all ages in shops, garages, and construction sites everywhere; a testament to their durability and quality.
