Mild Steel Electrode Polarity
The following is a list of the recommended polarity settings for different mild steel shielded metal arc welding electrodes as defined by AWS Specification A5.1-91
DCEP = Direct Current Electrode Positive
DCEN = Direct Current Electrode Negative
AC = Alternating Current
Penetration = Relative strength of the arc
